A single, does-it-all commander console for Elite Dangerous — built to replace the sprawl of separate market, route, exobiology, colonisation, and materials tools with one app.
EDNexus works from the files Elite Dangerous already writes on your own computer, so there is nothing to hook into the game and no account to create. It follows what you do as you play and keeps one live picture of your commander that every feature draws from.
Everything below is implemented and in the app. Features that talk to a third party are optional and say so in Settings; opt-in marks the ones that are off until you turn them on.
Construction depot progress, commodity shopping lists and hauling progress as you deliver.
Looks up the shared project on Raven Colonial so you see what the whole squadron still owes (you can turn that off in Settings).
Commodity market lookups and profitable trade route plotting, plus neutron, galaxy and fleet-carrier route plotting, powered by Spansh and EDSM. Results are cached and the clients retry politely.
Pin a blueprint and get a material shopping list across every grade and roll count, with trader hints. Includes Odyssey on-foot suit and weapon upgrades.
Headless: --plan in the CLI costs a roll against your live inventory.
Raw, manufactured and encoded materials tracked from the journal, alongside the on-foot inventory.
Track your sampling progress by species, see which organisms a planet is likely to hold, and know the distances and payouts before you land.
Reference data is community-derived and still being verified.
Held missions with massacre stacks and turn-in grouping, active community goals, and the Galnet news feed in its own window.
Combat, Trade, Exploration, Exobiologist and Mercenary ranks with progress to the next tier.
Prospector results, session yield, a "worth mining" price threshold (prices learned from the markets you visit) and remembered surface mining spots that are called out when you arrive.
Built-in internet radio that plays in the background and remembers your station and volume.
A transparent click-through HUD over the game and spoken callouts — fuel low, scan complete, shopping-list item acquired.
Publishes a viewer-facing card of your session (location, ship, exobiology, missions, …) to a Twitch extension so your viewers can follow along. You choose which sections are shown; your credit balance is hidden unless you turn it on. The card comes down when you quit the game.
The EDNexus side is built; the extension itself is awaiting Twitch's review.
Mirrors your system, ship and activity onto your own Discord client, with options to hide the system and commander name.
Anonymized market, scan and travel contributions to the Elite Dangerous Data Network, and a sync of your commander profile to Inara. Every upload is logged locally so you can see what was sent.
Downloads new versions for you, verifies them, and only installs when you say so. Linux updates come through Flatpak.
Try every card with sample data, no game running. Nothing generated this way is ever shared with anyone.
EDNexus is growing quickly. Here is the direction we are heading in. Plans change as we hear from commanders, so there are no dates and nothing here is a promise.
Pages for the way you play: group the cards you use for trading, exploring, colonising or streaming, and keep every card exactly where you put it. Fewer, richer cards, a compact view, and the option to pop cards out onto a second monitor.
More guidance on foot and in the SRV: sampling help while you collect biological samples, a compass to places you want to find, and tools to survey what you discover.
A live view of what your scans are worth and how far you have travelled, with planet details at a glance.
Closer ties with community colonisation tools, so your squadron's progress and your own hauling stay in step.
A plugin system so players and developers can add their own cards, overlays and data sources, with you in control of what each one can see.
Your session on your Twitch channel for viewers to follow, as soon as the extension is approved.
More route finders and data sources, even more trustworthy updates, and media-key control for the radio.

EDNexus reads your own journal files locally. Anything that leaves your machine is off until you turn it on, apart from the lookups a feature needs to work, and the full list is in the README.
EDDN contributions strip commander-private fields before upload and are opt-in. Inara sync is opt-in and uses your own API key.
Opt-in via a first-run prompt. Reports are scrubbed of your commander name and API keys before they are sent.
Opt-in, with a per-section choice. The card is public while it is up, and it is taken down when you quit the game or the app.
Quick answers about what EDNexus is and what it does.
Yes. EDNexus is free to download and use, there is no account to create, and the source code is on GitHub.
No. It reads the journal files Elite Dangerous writes on your own computer. Syncing to Inara needs your own Inara API key and is optional, as are EDDN contributions and crash reports.
No. EDNexus only reads the journal and status files the game writes for third-party tools. There is no memory reading and no injection.
Windows (installer) and Linux (Flatpak bundle). The in-game overlay and spoken callouts are Windows-only. macOS is not supported yet.
Trade and route plotting, engineering material shopping lists, exobiology tracking and species prediction, colonisation depot tracking with Raven Colonial lookups, mining, missions, community goals, Galnet news, ranks, a radio player, Discord Rich Presence and an optional Twitch stream card.
EDDN and Inara uploads, crash reports and the Twitch stream card are optional and off until you turn them on. Features that look things up (Spansh, EDSM, Raven Colonial, Galnet and the update check) send only what the lookup needs. The README lists everything.
Yes. On-foot engineering upgrades, the on-foot inventory, exobiology and the colonisation tracker are built in.
Installers are self-contained — no separate .NET install needed.
